Common Obstacles in Night Photography
(http://www.cambridgeincolour.com/techniques/n...)
Night photography has the ability to take a scene and cast it in an unusual light-- much like the "golden hour" surrounding sunrise and sunset can add an element of mood and uniqueness to a sunlit scene. Just as how sports and landscape photography push the camera's limits for shutter speed and aperture, respectively, night photography often demands technical extremes in both [night photography, digital camera, moonlight]

Learn Night Photography
(http://www.johnharveyphoto.com/LearnNight/ind...)
Photography is really about light. Night photography is just like any other type of photography except you don't have the sun to help you light up your pictures.

Tips for Night Photography
(http://photography-business-tips.com/2008/11/...)
Night time photography produces some amazing results. It is fun capturing the night-time city shots and the bright lights of cars whizzing past. Use a Tripod to Eliminate Camera Shake If you are a serious night photographer a tripod is necessary to eliminate camera shake and get clear exposures with good depth of field.

Urban and Industrial Night Photography
(http://photoburner.net/2009/03/13/urban-night...)
Shooting at abandoned sites is popular but the dangers there can be real. These sites are not maintained and there can be uncovered pits, fall hazards and the possibility of a wall collapsing and falling on you. There can be enraged security guards and maybe guard dogs to deal with too. You don’t want to end your shooting adventure in a hospital or jail. I would be sure to have someone along with you for backup in case there is a problem.

Photographing the Moon - Night photography
(http://www.danheller.com/moon.html)
The the problem with optical perspective occurs because the moon's distance from you is considerably more so than the distance between you and the other objects in your scene (e.g., a foregound subject, or even a moderately distant cityscape). The difference between the moon and the other elements in the scene can cause the camera's lens to make the moon's size appear disproportionately smaller if the lens is too short. This isn't what your eye sees, and it throws people off quite a bit when they first start their attempts at moon photographh. The shorter the lens, the more dramatic this effect, and most people use wide angle lenses to shoot landscapes.
